Call for Proposals

The Innovative Materials and Analytical Technology Exploration (iMATE) Program solicits exploratory research projects in "Materials Science" and "Analytical Technology" with significant originality or breakthroughs within Academia Sinica. The 2026 "Innovative Materials and Analytical Technology Exploration" research project is now open for public solicitation. Principal investigators with a broad vision and strong ambition are encouraged to organize multi-disciplinary and excellence-driven research teams to propose pioneering topics specifically addressing innovative materials exploration. For approved proposals, iMATE will further enhance research funding support.

Application Instructions:

• Eligibility : Researchers at or above the level of Assistant Research Fellow at Academia Sinica.
• Deadline : 5 P.M. on August 20, 2025 (Wednesday).
• Project duration : The project can be one-year or multi-year, with a maximum duration of three years.
• Project type : Both individual and integrated projects are acceptable.
• Submission : All applications must be submitted via email. Please fill out the iMATE project proposal application form in the following format and email the application PDF file to Ms. Lin at wylin@as.edu.tw.
• Notification of review results : It is expected that the project applicant will be notified at the end of October 2025. The research project that has been reviewed and approved will be implemented in January 2026 after the institution's statutory budget is finalized.
